"Service is what we are all about and shared branching offers us the opportunity to expand our service to our members wherever they are and to cooperate with other credit unions in making access to credit union services more universally available."

"Shared branching was the right choice for Latah FCU. Each credit union has its individual needs, and must consider the cost versus benefits. I think members will expect this type of service to be available to them in the future, much as share draft checking accounts are now an expected service at credit unions. Members can gauge whether a credit union is actively striving to provide better and broader service for them. While credit union’s may get away with not being a part of the network now, almost certainly they will be left behind in the future just as those credit union’s who chose not to have a share draft program for their members. If you don’t provide a service for your members, someone else is, or will. Membership feedback about the shared branching service has been positive. I think as more members are educated and learn about shared branching and the convenience it gives them, more credit union members will come to expect this service from their financial instructions. The staff is excited about being able to provide more services to our members."
